Open field crops can roughly be divided into leafy greens, cabbage varieties, and root/tuber vegetables. Cultivation in open fields is specialized work.
Our partner growers are true specialists. Throughout the year, they take care of their products with great precision and passion, ensuring they look excellent and are of top quality.
Fruiting vegetables
Organic fruiting vegetables
The fruiting vegetable category includes cucumbers, all types of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and chili peppers. Bio Freshi offers these products all year round.
During the Dutch season (April to November), these products are grown in greenhouses. In the winter period, cultivation takes place in Southern Europe.
We have our own cultivation and work together with growers who ensure high-quality production. In addition, we make sure that the volume is marketed as efficiently as possible.
Fruit & Exotics
Organic fruit & exotics
We have a broad global network, allowing us to offer a complete range of fruit all year round. Fruit is divided into four segments: pome fruit, soft fruit, citrus, and exotics.
Where possible, we source pome fruit and soft fruit mainly from the Netherlands. For apples, Santana, Elstar, Topaz, and Maribelle are key varieties we work with. For pears, these are Doyenné du Comice, Conference, and Alexander Lucas.
